Head and Neck Cancer Australia is excited to join forces with Big Hill Events, to host our very first Mountain Bike ride in Canberra, the 2023 Capital Classic MTB on Sunday, 2 April.

Inspired by our very own Board Director, former Head and Neck Cancer patient, Carolyn Smith, and her cousin Nigel Harvey, Head of Marketing at Australian cycling distributor, PSI Cycling, the ride will start and finish on the grounds of the iconic Mount Majura Vineyard

The 2023 Capital Classic is a fully timed and supported Mountain Bike race (or ride) featuring both the SHIFTY50 and SHIFTY25 route options on the Majura Trails Network

The 2023 Capital Classic offers a beautiful spot for relaxing, wine tasting and cheering on friends and family. The event village will also feature food trucks, stalls, music and guest speakers.

Challenge yourself or come along and cheer on family and friends while helping to raise funds and awareness for people living with Head and Neck Cancer.

Mount Majura Vineyard is committed to being a welcoming and inclusive business for its staff, customers and community. The business upholds the values that make Canberra inclusive, equitable and sustainable.

Head and Neck Cancer Australia acknowledges the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the ACT, the Ngunnawal people, and pay our respect to Elders past and present.

Head and Neck Cancer Australia is the only charity supporting people affected by Head and Neck Cancer across Australia. Over 5,100 Australians are diagnosed each year - that's 14 people every day.

All funds raised from the 2023 Capital Classic will go directly towards providing free information and support to newly diagnosed patients and raising awareness in the general public. Head and Neck Cancer Australia is a registered charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission and all donations of $2 and above are tax deductible.
